A few small usage charges worth knowing about — explained before launch.
What does “+ usage” actually mean?
Some Buildvia features send texts and emails, use AI, or use phone services. Those services have small usage costs based on how much your system actually uses. Instead of building a large usage allowance into every customer’s monthly price, Buildvia passes applicable usage costs through based on actual activity.
AI Webchat
≈ 1¢ per AI response
Every time the AI Webchat sends a reply, that counts as one AI response. Example: 500 AI responses ≈ $5.
Text messages
500 texts ≈ $6–$7
SMS cost varies slightly based on carrier and message length. Longer texts may be billed as multiple message parts (a “segment” is simply a billable part of a text message).
1,000 emails < $1
Email usage is typically very small. At current rates, 1,000 emails costs less than $1.
Phone & registration
Pass-through where required
Applicable phone-number, messaging-registration, carrier, and calling costs may also appear where required. Buildvia will explain them before activation.

500 AI responses + 500 standard text messages + 1,000 emails ≈ $12–$15 in usage.
This is a planning example, not a guaranteed bill. Actual usage may vary based on activity, message length, carrier fees, AI usage, calling, and enabled features.
Your first month includes a $25 starting usage credit.
Usage is deducted from this starting balance first. Depending on how much your system is used, you may not need additional usage funding immediately.
For most normal service businesses, standard communication costs are relatively small compared with the Buildvia service itself. Before launch, we’ll explain exactly which usage charges apply to your specific setup.
